The Gift of God’s Word

Christmas is always my favorite time of year! I love the snow, the decorations, the lights, I could go on and on about what I love about Christmas time. Don’t worry, I won’t do that in this blog post.😉

But I will tell you what I love most about Christmas time- the reminder of the overwhelming love that God has for us. A love so deep that He sent His only Son to save us from our sin. Every Christmas when I sit back and think on this truth, it boggles my mind completely.

“The Word became flesh and dwelt  among us. We observed his glory,   the glory as the one and only   Son   from the Father, full of grace and truth.” -John 1:14

“The word became flesh”- this one statement tells of the most amazing gift ever given to humanity: The Word; Jesus Christ. Jesus is referred to as “the Word” because He is the full and ultimate expression of God’s message to humanity, both in His words and in His very being. That message being Salvation. This Christmas season I pray that you are able to rest in the beautiful truth that God gave us His Son, the Word, to save us from something that we couldn’t save ourselves from. What a perfect message for us to treasure up in our hearts as we celebrate this Christmas with friends and family. Let us not forget the true reason for celebrating. Merry Christmas!

Speaking of the Word of God… over the last many months, I have had the wonderful privilege of working with Taste and See Books on some exciting and unique projects. Taste and See books has an amazing mission, that is, to spread the word of God to young children.

They do this in a practical and tangible way- through books. Not just your normal kind of books, but books that are completely child-proof! Yes, there is such a thing!😱 These books are 100% washable and tear proof so that even the smallest babies can enjoy getting their hands on God’s word; with out totally ruining the pages.😉

The first book that I illustrated for Taste and See, The Lord is My Shepherd, just released, right in time for Christmas! If you have a sweet little one in your life that you want to share the gift of God’s word with this Christmas, you can click HERE to snag your copy!

Thanks for reading, I hope that you have an AMAZING Christmas!🎄🎁
